FINANCE ASSISTANT – THE LIVING ROOM CINEMA LIPHOOK

Part Time – 20 hours per week, £13.50 per hour.
 
The Living Room Cinema is a vibrant cinema company which has two cinemas, in Liphook and Chipping Norton.

We have an opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our team to support the Financial Controller and wider management team with the financial aspects of running the business.
 
The Finance Assistant will be in charge of the day to day financial functions for our two cinemas, supplying information both internally and also to external creditors and service providers ranging from film studios to our payroll providers.
 
This is a part time role of 20 hours per week, spending roughly half of the time on each cinema.
 
The film business is quirky, fun and rewarding, and we are looking for someone with passion, personality and the desire to immerse themselves in the industry to join the team. We have seen rapid growth to date, opening two cinemas in our first 15 months, and so this role has guaranteed career progression as the company grows and opens additional cinemas. It would particularly suit an ambitious learner at the start of their finance career.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Processing invoices on Xero
  • Undertaking banking reconciliations on Xero
  • Raising invoices, remittance advices, credit notes and purchase orders
  • Supplying monthly payroll information to our accountants and responding to all queries
  • Sending out weekly box office returns to film studios and first point of call for all queries
  • Processing and making payments

ABOUT YOU

  • Highly numerate with attention to detail, with at least 2 year’s experience in a finance environment
  • Knowledge of Xero, experienced with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Initiative and self-motivated
  • The ability to work under pressure and the ability to prioritise workload according to the needs of the business
